For years, the trust and reach of a national newsbrand group sat quietly behind the scenes of local marketing. Four teams: Iconic Media Group’s newsbrand commercial teams, Iconic Ireland, MNA Digital and Connect Local, were doing good work for local businesses, but doing it separately, under separate names, with clients passed between departments and platforms along the way.
We saw something in that. Businesses want the credibility of established media, but they need it delivered by people who actually know their patch: their customers, their competitors, their high street. So we brought those four teams together under one name, one team structure, and one client offer: Localeyes.
It’s not a rebrand. It’s a new way of doing this, built around what local business owners actually need: clarity, one dedicated point of contact, and marketing that’s proven to work.
What’s behind the name
Localeyes is built on three pillars: Trusted, Personal, Focused, and backed by scale most local agencies simply don’t have access to. Over 130 heritage local news titles, 130.6 million average monthly page views, and 41.3 million social followers across the UK and Ireland. Our clients rate our marketing services 4.9 out of 5.
We plan, design and deliver campaigns across websites, SEO, paid search, social, newsbrand advertising, and creative & events, blending that high-attention newsbrand reach with the wider marketing mix to support a business across its whole customer journey, from first getting noticed through to winning business and keeping customers coming back. It’s grounded in attention research from Newsworks, which links high-attention media plans to stronger market share growth than low-attention alternatives.
That’s the advantage most agencies can’t offer. But the work itself is built the way any good agency builds it: around a client’s business, customers and goals, not around what we happen to own.
What’s next
We’d love to share this with local businesses. As part of the launch, we’re giving business owners the chance to tell their story with a free business feature in one of our trusted newsbrands, a way of putting the same spotlight we talk about back onto the businesses we work with.
Your customers, in focus.
