afford. Sure there are many calls on our funds these days....but surely that is because we are relativelly affluent...most of us anyway...and the fact is we can afford to give a small percentage away to organisations that justify it. And Claire House certainly justifies it.
If you are not familiar with Claire House there website does a much better job of informing you exactly what they are about than I ever could.
The Localeyes site has been created by a Wirral resident (see me here) of almost 24 years standing as a way of fulfilling a number of aims.
And here I must confess that there are actually 3 main reasons..2 already described..why the site has been developed. The third is to unashamedly get my business some online advertising for free. Well,. I say free, but anyone who has produced copy for any magazine format will realise just how time consuming it is!! so free it really is not but enjoyable it is. I also love working on the computer, especially on internet related things and decided that I really needed to create something useful. Touching 50, and the grey matter needs as much stimulation as it can get!
I also have to confess I did toy with the idea of the site being more commercial but decided telesales was not an area of endeavour I would shine in and that it was about time I pulled out my finger and tried to raise some dosh for a deserving cause.
As the director of a small Removals and Storage Company I am constantly approached by all sorts of ventures, often linked to Charities. Some I give to, many I simply cannot...some I would not, anyway. What I thought would be good was if the 'donating' buinesses
